Influential Swedish hardcore/metal frontman Tomas Hallborn of cult crossover pioneers Breach has posted the following message on the Myspace profile of his latest project, The Old Wind, referring to three new demo tracks posted by Hallborn.
"Hi there!
got a couple of new songs up.
enjoy!
/TOW."
The Old Wind bio:
"THE ESSENCE.
TOW is not a band, constellation or 4,6,12 persons on stage.
Its a feeling, thoughts,..action. its a state of mind.
Its a statement, a mood, angst, regret,..despair,..love, hate. It is what it is to us, but totally analytical free for the masses.
What is important? not who or whom that create the music, the mood, the analytical paths.
The important thing is that this is being done.
Incognito is where the truth reveals.
HAIL TOW."
Hardtimes press release:
It has become apparent that vocalist Tomas Hallborn, formerly of cult Swedish hardcore-turned-progressive act Breach, has formed a new project named The Old Wind.
TOW finds Hallborn rediscovering his tortured screams which were virtually absent from Breach's 2001 swansong "Kollapse," and the music is equally reminiscent of early Breach from their "Venom" and "Old Songs vs. New Beats" releases. In recent years, Hallborn has provided guest vocals to acclaimed artists such as The Ocean, Raised Fist, Revera, and Neveres as well as having performed Breach material live with The Ocean as well.
TOW posted the following updates on their Myspace page, where the track "The Old Wind - radio edit" can currently be heard.
