Willowtip recording artists Dim Mak, which extreme thrash and death metal historians know as the continuation of legendary death thrash outfit Ripping Corpse, have posted a slew of updates regarding their status and upcoming full-length.
In addition to having launched a fresh Myspace layout, the band's new album, "Emergence Of Reptilian Altars," features stunning artwork by Alex Eckman-Lawn. Guitarist Shaune Kelley (who toured extensively with Hate Eternal last year) also reports that founding Dim Mak frontman has stepped down, and since been replaced by longtime friend Joseph Capizzi. Californian brutal death metallers Vile have completed work on their fourth full-length album, "Metamorphosis", for a fall 2011 release. According to the band, the CD is "a concept album which contains a wide variety of styles, tempos and lyrical topics with an interlocking philosophical and lyrical concept."

Matt Paquette, vocalist for Montreal metal band Beheading Of A King, has reportedly passed away. Cause of death has yet to be disclosed publicly. Though not signed, the group had recently recorded a new EP and is apparently managed by management behemoth Outerloop Management. Paquette was twenty years-old.
