The Cloud Factory

Tag: blog
This morning looking out the window i was staring at a factory chimney spewing his toxic pollutant into the clear blue sky. The cold made the smoke look like clouds. When contrasted with the sun and blue sky it gave the effect of a sort of a lava lamp or droping ink into water. A eternal morphing of shapes and hues into one another. It was beautiful and hypnotizing. The beauty of the clouds that escaped the chimeney outset my conciousness that that smoke was tainted and filled with toxin that would eventually kill us or make us ill.

The future is not ours

Tag: blog
The future is not ours, because we don't own the present nor the past. We are now living in a state where everything we know is created and thus owned by others. We are spectators in this world and we watch as big people who control everything play out their vision of things for us to see and experience (movies, the Internet, newspapers). We are now living on the outskirts of our reality, skirmishing on message boards about reality and the truth of things in it which is becoming increasingly difficult to locate, nevermind verify. We are no longer in the streets or on the walls writing about our past and our future. We have abandoned what was once an instinct: The pavement and the bricks.

Having a car is not hardcore - far from it!

Tag: blog
I've noticed over the past few days that my local news items all relate to one item: Cars! First, I am fed a story about snow removal and how it affects car owners and "the difficulty" of dealing with the "lengthy" snow removal times in certain areas of the city. What follows is a story about a group of guys who ran a used car scam lot and the helpless victims caught in their web of lies, for example how the cars' speedometers were changed to show lower mileage. In between stories, we get a breather in the form of a commercial for a new pick-up truck. Back to the news at hand, the rising price of gas and how it affects car owners at the pump. Then on to the high Canadian dollar, and how it's cheaper to buy a car in the U.S.

Vinyl has been around since 1850 - that's 158 years

Tag: blog
I must admit that I have not bought an album in a very long time. I am from the days of LPs and tapes. I stopped buying albums the day that they switched the format to CD. The hype was, no joke, something like "better sound, better quality, more longevity." The 3 turned out to be lies. When an LP skipped too often you put a dime on the needle and it stopped skipping. With CDs, the cases break, the CDs get scratched, and the arwork is small. (Just how much shit will people put up with?)

Well, you can knock me down, Step in my face, Slander my name All over the place. Do anything that you want to do, but uh-uh, Honey, lay off of my shoes Dont you step on my blue suede shoes. You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes. You can burn my house, Steal my car, Drink my liquor From an old fruitjar. Do anything that you want to do, but uh-uh, Honey, lay off of my shoes Dont you step on my blue suede shoes. You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes. (words & music by carl perkins)
