Growing up is always surprise how people will turn out. One can never predict who will still be around when the decades crush over us. The outcome is unpredictable on all of us. Nothing is what we thought it would be. As we grow older we slowly become other people. We can only know others at the instance we know them and at the angle we know them. We can never explore the other sides of the people that are around us specially when we come and go. As the you cross path more and more you get a clearer picture. The image that i have been focusing is how Grim Skunk has grown to be legitimately a band that deserves the world. They deserve every praise and ever accolade. Even 25 years ago they were too talented to be part of the scene they sprang from. Their progressive music and musical direction was like no one around. While most concentrated their effort on the status quo. Grim Skunk would do what they understood to be what was their expression of hardcore. The only band to have stood the hardest test, time, is still going with their newest release set fire. I am proud and glad to say that they best represent what we all once were long ago and for all the sell outs this band makes the golden day golden.it shines a positive light on some of our dark days

The influences of this albums are the one that i remember them by, the progressive influences. The album has such a wide range of musical styles. The most important aspect of this album is their root of this album lays in the struggle. The struggle for a better life. In the past few month with the neo-liberal agenda rearing it's full body unto Quebec society and Canada. Many of the people that came from this scene have shown their true color and i am no longer surprise who has become a zombie of the national post / globe and mail paradigm. At the same time it brings a smile to know that those i knew back then have grown up to be open and progressive and out spoken. In times like any, it important that we speak about the ill we live by. It's important because it encourages other to do the same. It's also good to know on who we count on.

This album has legit bangers, it has song that infiltrate your memory and images come alive with beauty and sadness. A soundtrack to the perseverance of the struggle with it's good times and hard times. ballads to march on the street till the end of the night. Songs that wrap you up and remind you that we are not alone.
