Veteran New York hardcore band Open Season recently finished recording their debut EP with legendary NYC producer Don Fury. Release date and label are still pending, but two new songs can be heard on the band's Myspace page, link below. Drummer Kevin Corcoran, who is an ex-member of the cult Buffalo, NY, Scott Vogel-fronted group Buried Alive, in addition to Black Train Jack, recently checked in with Hardtimes.ca: "Our Myspace page has a couple of early songs that are straight up NYHC old school style; nothing really tough guy or complicated. Our newer stuff is more in that Ignite style w/ more melodic vocals." Check out the band's page featuring a single on Facebook, where you can also find old photos from Corcoran's days in Buried Alive, Black Train Jack, as well as flyers and past shows. Corcoran has a message for fans of his previous bands: "I encourage you to post up any show photos/flyers that you might have- that's why it's there." -Kevin Corcoran Anyone interested in booking Open Season can contact Rob: rob@openseasonnyhc.com Open Season bio: "Open Season is a band which stands firmly rooted in hardcore's past while maintaining an ear for the future.
