Venomous Concept, the old-school hardcore/punk project featuring Shane Embury (guitar, Napalm Death), Kevin Sharp (vocals, Brutal Truth), Danny Lilker (bass, Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault) and Danny Herrera (drums, Napalm Death), has issued the following update:

"On a day off on our recent European tour, we recorded six new tracks. We will be recording a few more tracks in the New Year and plan to release a couple of splits with Wolfbrigade and Bruce Banner from Sweden. This we are fucking excited about.

"All being well, Venomous Concept will be back next year for some more shows in places we didn't get to last time.

"We, Venomous Concept, had a lots of fun; it was back to the roots, old-school style — it was a breath of fresh air!!

"Expect a new Venomous Concept album sometime next year also."

Venomous Concept's second effort, "Poisoned Apple", came out in April 2008. it was the follow-up to 2004's "Retroactive Abortion", which was released on Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings.
