Hailing from North Carolina, Zero System is the latest creation from music scene veterans Joel Collins and Kyle Rakes. For years the two had performed in the technically fervent and metal driven band, Bloodjinn. Establishing a strong foothold in the indie metal music scene and countless records, the pair decided to adopt a new writing style a long with long term friend, Justin Reich. With this direction established, they decided to create another band to further solidify the sound as it's own entity. Musically, Zero System creates a perfect blend of aggressive metal and soaring melodic rhythms. Vocalist, Joel Collins brings a solid and complex style of singing and screaming, while guitarist and singer, Justin Reich shells out beautiful and powerful melody. Kyle Rakes, who is the main writer for Zero System believes he has found his niche musically. He goes on to add, "This is something I've always wanted to do, and a whole different style of writing than I am use to with other projects I am involved with". Collins believes that guitarist, Kyle Rakes has found himself musically and has began writing some the most impressive songs he has ever heard. Justin Reich comments that "Trey Harding is a long term friend, and when this band opportunity came a long, I knew Trey would be a solid addition to Zero System." Moving forward, Zero System plans on releasing a handful of songs online to promote their sound.
