The Cloud Factory
This morning looking out the window i was staring at a factory chimney spewing his toxic pollutant into the clear blue sky. The cold made the smoke look like clouds. When contrasted with the sun and blue sky it gave the effect of a sort of a lava lamp or droping ink into water. A eternal morphing of shapes and hues into one another. It was beautiful and hypnotizing.
The beauty of the clouds that escaped the chimeney outset my conciousness that that smoke was tainted and filled with toxin that would eventually kill us or make us ill.
I than thought that all action create a reaction. Things come about due to others things. A cycle, nothing exist on it's own nor ends once it's cycle completed. Like dominoes falling things happen after even if sometimes that action ends. The chain reaction is eternal and sometimes unseen and upredictable.
Everything has an effect even when it's past, or out of sight. It's hard to keep count of things and how they affect us at any given time. We accept things that are in front of us without questioning what is behind it or what follows.
The way the poisonous cloud filled the air with beauty is similar the way television fills our minds with it's beautiful toxins. What does these images or ideas do to us. What actions do they spark in us. Nothing is random nothing is finite and everything affects us in more ways than we see. Every word and image calculated for effect, What chain reaction or inaction does this spark in us?
